🚨 IMPORTANT: PARKING ENFORCEMENT BEGINS AUGUST 1 ST🚨

Beginning August 1st, the Bordentown City Police Department will begin enforcing the 3-hour parking limit in the municipal parking lot on Farnsworth Avenue (Old Town Pub Lot) between the hours of 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

At this time, officers are issuing warning notices to help inform motorists of the upcoming enforcement.

This change follows an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners last year, which adjusted the enforcement hours for the 3-hour parking limit along Farnsworth Avenue and extended the same limit to the municipal lot. The goal is to increase parking turnover and improve parking availability for residents, visitors, and local businesses.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with your friends, neighbors, and anyone who regularly parks in the area. Thank you for your cooperation!

With the current heat wave and extreme temperatures, the City’s Water Department has seen a significant increase in water demand.

We are asking all residents and businesses to please conserve water whenever possible and limit unnecessary water usage during this period.

Please consider:
💧 Limiting lawn watering and irrigation
💧 Avoiding unnecessary outdoor water use
💧 Postponing non-essential activities that require large amounts of water

Every effort helps ensure we maintain adequate water supply and pressure for our entire community.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping your neighbors during this period of high demand.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the history of freedom, recognize the progress made, and continue the work of building a community rooted in respect, equality, and opportunity for all.

The City of Bordentown wishes residents a meaningful Juneteenth. ❤️
