Bordentown City reminds all dog owners that dog licenses must be submitted by January 31 to avoid a late fee.
Licensing your dog is not only required by law, but it is also important for public health and safety. A current license helps ensure pets are properly vaccinated, assists in reuniting lost dogs with their owners, and supports local animal control services.
📌 Important Reminder:
Per New Jersey State regulations, rabies vaccinations that expire during the licensing year cannot be accepted for licensing.
📝 How to Apply:
Dog license applications are available on the City’s website at www.cityofbordentown.com under Applications & Forms. Applications are also available in person at City Hall.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping Bordentown City a safe and responsible community for everyone!
Please note that there will be no trash collection on this day.
Reminder: Community Clean-Up with the Bordentown City Trails Committee 🌏🌱
Join the City of Bordentown Trails Committee for a Community Clean-Up this Saturday, January 17th (weather permitting).
📍 Meet at: Spring Street Field parking lot
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM
Community clean-ups are an important way to keep Bordentown City clean and green. By working together to remove litter and debris, we help protect our waterways, enhance our shared spaces, and preserve the natural beauty of our community.
Volunteers will begin at the far end of Spring Street Field near the railroad tracks and enter the woods via a trail, working along Thorntown Creek toward Elizabeth Street. There will be a mix of litter and larger discarded items, and any help you can provide will make a difference.
All are welcome to participate—whether you can join for a short time or stay for the entire event. Every effort helps make a difference!
Bordentown City NEEDS your input! Please take the time to fill out a new online survey and/or attend a Jan 14th public meeting on the draft Open Space & Historic Preservation Plan.
Our parks, open spaces and historical places are at the heart of what makes Bordentown uniquely special 🌳 ☀️🛝🏃♂️
That’s why voters overwhelmingly approved an open space program two years ago to preserve, maintain and enhance these assets. 🗳️
Now that revenue is starting to come in, we are creating a long-term blueprint — guided by the will of the community — to help determine how this funding should be invested 💡
Please join us next week, Wednesday, January 14, at 6 PM, at Carslake Community Center, for a community meeting to discuss the latest on this plan and offer valuable feedback. 📢
There’s also an online community SURVEY due by Feb. 1 to make sure everyone has a chance to weigh in on these decisions! 🗓️

Join us for the City of Bordentown’s FREE Annual Rabies Clinic on Saturday, January 10th, from 9:00–10:00 AM at Carslake Community Center (207 Crosswicks Street). You do not have to live in Bordentown City to attend—this clinic is open and welcome to everyone.
