PRINCE STREET RESIDENTS – WATER SERVICE LINE WORK UPDATE 🌧️
Crews working on the Water Service Line Replacement Program on Prince Street will not be on site tomorrow due to rain. Work is scheduled to resume on Thursday, September 18th.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue this important work to ensure safe and reliable water service!
Mosquito Spraying Notice – Thursday, September 18th
Burlington County Mosquito Control will be in town on Thursday, September 18th, between 7:30 PM and midnight to conduct mosquito spraying.
To stay comfortable during the process, residents may want to:
🏠 Remain indoors while spraying is underway
🔒 Keep windows closed
🐾 Bring pets, toys, and outdoor items inside if possible
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as the County works to keep mosquito populations down and protect public health!

Crews are starting work this week on the 500 block of Prince Street, and next week they’ll move to the 500 block of Willow Street, as part of New Jersey’s statewide Water Service Line Replacement Program. This program focuses on replacing water service lines made of lead or older galvanized materials to ensure residents have safe, reliable water.
While our system does not have any lead service lines, some older galvanized pipes are being replaced as part of this important project.
Residents in the work areas may notice construction activity, equipment, and temporary traffic changes while crews complete the work. We appreciate your patience as these upgrades are made to maintain a high-quality water system for everyone.

The Bordentown community is cordially invited to the Annual September 11th Memorial Service at Point Breeze, which this year will include a special tree planting dedicated to the memory of native son, first responder, and US Army SPC Benjamin Moore. *The event is being held on Sept. 10th this year to accommodate first responder schedules.

Heads Up, Bordentown! Fall Hydrant Flushing Starts October 7th 🚰🍂
Twice a year, the Water Department flushes fire hydrants across the City and Township to keep our water system clean, safe, and reliable. Flushing begins Tuesday, October 7th.
💡 Why it matters:
-Removes mineral buildup and sediment from the pipes
-Ensures hydrants are fully operational for emergencies
-Helps maintain consistent water pressure and water quality
⚠️ What you might notice:
-Temporary changes in water pressure
-Slightly discolored or cloudy water while flushing is in progress
