Please note: the event is taking place at the Township's Public Works facility this time - 266 Crosswicks Rd. *NOTE: Due to a scheduling conflict, the date has been changed from its originally publicized date of May 10.

🌊 New Jersey Remains Under Drought Warning — Conserve Water Now
As of May 2025, New Jersey continues to face drought conditions, with significantly below-average rainfall leading to diminished streamflow, reservoir, and groundwater levels.
💧 Water Conservation Tips:
Pause outdoor watering and allow lawns to go dormant for the season.
Winterize and shut off irrigation systems as soon as possible.
Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks.
Wash cars at commercial car washes that recycle water.
Fix leaks in faucets, pipes, and irrigation systems promptly.
Install low-flow fixtures: showerheads, faucets, and toilets to reduce water usage.
Run dishwashers and washing machines only when full to maximize efficiency.
Take shorter showers and turn off the tap while brushing teeth or shaving.
These small but impactful actions can help alleviate stress on water sources and infrastructure.

ADVISORY: Street sweeping season will officially begin on Thursday, May 1, 2025 and typically runs through the end of November.
You may have seen the sweeper out and about already, cleaning up after Mother Nature where possible.
This is a friendly reminder to please heed posted parking restrictions once the season officially kicks off in order to avoid incurring any tickets.

Please note that this process is TIME-SENSITIVE. We are collecting pre-registration information from families for approximately one month. Due to the forecasted weather on Saturday, the Earth Day Celebration at Carslake Community Center has been moved to Sunday, April 27th. Same time, same fun — just a slight shift in schedule! 🗓️ We hope to see you there as we celebrate our planet with activities, education, and community spirit!

The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
DEA is committed to making our communities safer and healthier, and we can do this by reducing overdoses and overdose deaths. While the community does its part to turn in unneeded medications and remove them from potential harm, we are doing our part to further reduce drug-related violence.
Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. That's why it's great to see thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in - safely and anonymously - a record amount of prescription drugs.

Trash collection will be limited to the downtown business district only. All other areas normally scheduled for that day will be serviced on their next scheduled collection day.

Another pickup in the books!! This is the third time in just 3 months that our BookDrop container has been filled to the BRIM by our awesome residents!
Let’s keep turning pages and making a difference. Recycle your books the smart way—drop them off anytime at the BookDrop bin at Bordentown City Hall, 101 E Park Street.
