Swearing-In Ceremony

The community is cordially invited to witness the historic swearing-in of Bordentown City's first all-women governing body when Stephanie Lagos, Jennifer Sciortino (incumbent), and Grace Archer take the oath of office to begin a four-year term on the Boad of Commissioners.

The swearing in, followed by a brief governing body reorganization meeting, will take place on Saturday, January 3, at 11 am at Old City Hall, 11 Crosswicks St. Residents are encouraged to arrive around 10:30 a.m. in order to be seated before the ceremony begins promptly at 11 a.m.

During the reorganization meeting, the governing body will vote on one commissioner to serve as Mayor and another to serve as Deputy Mayor - slated to be Lagos and Sciortino, respectively - and formally select which of the following city departments each commissioner will oversee, as required by state law: Public Property, Streets and Water; Public Safety and Affairs; and Revenue and Finance.

Overflow parking will be available at Carslake Community Center and the free city shuttle service will transport attendees to Old City Hall.
