While on patrol Rt. 206 south just off of Park St. Police observed a
vehicle come off the
Rt. 130 south ramp onto Rt. 206 without stopping and cross two lanes of
travel before
turning onto Elizabeth St. That vehicle was stopped and the driver
subsequently charged
with DWL Also charged with reckless driving. failure to stop at stop
sign. unsafe lane
change, creating the risk of an accident and having an open container of
alcohol in a
motor vehicle, was 45 year old Matthew T. Lydon of Bordentown City. Mr.
Lydon was
released to a friend with a court date later in March.

While on patrol on Rt. 130 north police observed a vehicle to travel
across the painted
lines of travel several times. That vehicle was stopped and upon
speaking with the driver
an odor ofbumt marijuana was detected along with the smell of alcohol
emanating from
inside the vehicle. Officer. Sgt. Matthew Simmons. had the driver roll
up her window
while K-9 "Terri" conducted an exterior K-9 sniff. Terri positively
indicated for the
presence of CDS in the vehicle nwnerous times. Police had the occupants
exit the
vehicle and found pieces of suspected marijuana throughout the vehicle
and also a
Gaterade bottle containing an alcoholic beverage. The driver, 18 year
old Aleesha
Newell of Lawrenceville, NJ, was charged with poss'n of CDS and underage
DWI. The
two passengers in the vehicle, 19 year old jeffrey Stys of East Windsor
and 19 year old
Ravinder Singh also of East Windsor, were charged with poss'n of CDS and
poss'n of
alcohol by a minor in a motor vehicle. All were released with court
dates later in March.

March 4 4:06 pm
Police responded to Boyd's Pharmacy on a reported shoplifter. Employees
pointed out to
police a green pick up truck just left and the driver had taken an item
off the shelf put it in
his pocket and left without paying for same. That pick up truck was
stopped by police on
Park St. and the driver without hesitation turned over to police a box
of Zantac he had
taken from the Pharmacy. Charged with shoplifting was 53 year old Gene
Hoch of
Lawrenceville, NJ, who was given a court date for later this month and
released.
