Police received a call of a drunk driver area of E.
Union St. and Crosswicks S1.heading
north on Rt. 130/206. Police stopped that vehicle as it pulled into an
area bar. As the
officer approached the vehicle and asked for credentials the driver
handed the car keys to
the officer while stating "hold these, I'm too drunk to drive". Arrested
for driving while
intoxicated was 30 year old Felipe Perez of Trenton, NJ. Mr. Perez was
charged with
DWI, reckless driving, open container, unlicensed driver and driving
while revoked. Mr.
Perez was released to a friend with a court date later in July.

On June 15
th
a Willow St. resident reported that upon coming home that evening there
was an attempt by person or persons unknown to enter his residence by
the rear sliding
glass door and an upstairs window. No entry was gained. However, through
investigation by Detective/Sergeant Shaun Lafferty, a suspect was
identified and police
on July 1

at 3:32 pm arrested 18 year old John Howley and charged him with
criminal
attempt at burglary, criminal mischief and trespass. Mr. Howley was
commited to
Burlington County Jail in default of$7.500.00 bail.
