PRESS RELEASE FOR WEEK ENDING JAN. 25, 2010

While on DWI enforcement Sgt. Matt Simmons clocked a vehicle doing 72
miles per
hour in a posted 40 mile per hour zone. The vehicle was stopped for
speeding and upon
speaking with the driver Sgt. Simmons detected a strong odor of
alcoholic beverage
emanating from the interior of the vehicle. The driver, 20 year old
David Bowen of
Florence. NJ, was eventually charged with driving while intoxicated,
underage DWI,
speeding, reckless driving and creating risk of accident. Mr. Bowen was
released to a
family member with his summons and a court date for later in January.
Jan. 20 I :02 am
A vehicle traveling south on Rt. 130 was observed to travel on the white
painted line
dividing the lanes of travel. Upon following the suspect vehicle that
vehicle was
observed now to travel partially on the shoulder of the roadway and then
brake suddenly
for no reason. The suspect vehicle then continued traveling south. The
vehicle now
continued traveling south, passing Farnsworth Ave. and again traveling
on the white lines
dividing the traveling lanes. When the highway turned into three lanes
of travel that
vehicle was stopped and the driver subsequently charged with DWI,
reckless driving,
failure to maintain lane and having an open container of alcohol in her
vehicle. Charged
was 51 year old Sandra Robinson-Deloach of Florence, NJ. Ms. Robinson-Deloach
was
released to a family member with a court date in February.
