Police were called to the Beneficial Bank on Farnsworth Ave. in

regards to a past tense theft by deception. Upon speaking with

bank officials it was learned that someone had been placing "slug"

like coins in their coin machine and scammed the bank out of

$650.00. Security cameras caught the suspect and that along with

police investigation, a 19 year old, Christopher Tew of

Bordentown City, was arrested and charged with attempted theft

by deception. Mr. Tew was lodged in Burlington County Jail in

default of $10,000.00, no 10%, bail.
