While off duty, Sgt. Shawn Lafferty of the Bordentown City Police
Department observed
drug activity in a park vehicle and phoned City police who responded
on location. City
Police arrested passenger Thomas Braden of Bordentown Twp., age 27,
and charged him
with possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and drug
paraphernalia. Mr. Braden
was released ROR with a court date later in May ..

Police observed a vehicle on Rt. 130 having a brake light. That
vehicle was stopped on
Thorntown Lane and resulted in the arrest of a 19 year old male from
Bordentown Twp.,
Michael Solimine. Sgt. Matt Simmons responded to the motor vehicle
stop and along
with narcotics K-9 Terri checked the vehicle for narcotics. Terri
indicated several times for the presence of narcotics which was
subsequently found in the
front passenger compartment and rear passenger seat.. Mr. Solimine
was charged with
possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Solimine was
released ROR with a
court date later in May.

While patrolling Rt.
south a vehicle in front of Bordentown City
police vehicle
was noted to continuously cross onto the shoulder of the road then
back again, The
suspect vehicle continued south on Rt. 130 after the split and again
began crossing onto
the shoulder of the road, unable to maintain a single lane of travel.
That vehicle was
stopped and the driver was subsequently charged with DWI. Arrested
was 39 year old
Jacqueline Welsh of Hamilton, NJ. Ms. Welsh was taken to police
headquarters where
she was also issued summons for reckless driving and failure to
maintain a lane. Ms.
Welsh was released to a friend pending court later in May.
