PRESS RELEASE FOR WEEK ENDING JULY 21, 2009
July 8 3:15 am
Police observed a vehicle turn onto Rt. 130 north from Rt. 528. with
front end damage
and a flat rear passenger side tire. Police observed that vehicle
traveling in both lanes of
travel for approximately half a mile before stopping same. The
driver, 38 year old Joseph
Gressel of Williamstown, NJ was subsequently charged with DWI. Mr.
Gressel advised
police he had struck a deer earlier accounting for the vehicle
damage. Mr. Gressel was
released to a family member after being issued summons for DWI,
failure to maintain a
lane and reckless driving. Mr. Gressel is expected in court later
this month.

July 16 2:17 am
Police were behind a vehicle traveling south on Rt. 130/206
merge, crossing onto Rt. 206
south traveling briefly in two lanes, turning without signaling and
again travel briefly in
two lanes oftravel. That vehicle was stopped at Rt. 206 and
Farnsworth Ave. and the
driver subsequently charged with DWI. Also charged with reckless
driving and failure to
maintain a lane was 35 year old Johanna Truitt, of Bordentown Twp.
Ms. Truitt was
given a court date for later in July and released to a family member.

July 19, 1:11am
While working with the Northern Burlington County DWI Task Force,
Ptl. Daniel
Anderson observed a vehicle traveling north through Florence Twp.
with its two
passenger side wheels entirely in the shoulder of the road. Upon
returning completely to
the right lane of travel a lit cigarette was thrown from the driver
side window of the
suspect vehicle striking the hood of the officers patrol unit. That
vehicle was stopped and
the driver charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving,
failure to maintain a
lane and littering. Given an August court appearance for the above
charges was 31 year
old Patrick Tibbs of Ewing, NJ. Mr. Tibbs was released to a family
member.
Ptl. Daniel Anderson was the arresting officer.
July 17 7:20 pm
A Spring St. resident reports the theft of a bike from the side of
the residence. The bike
is described as a brown Huffy Rockey BMX type, valued at
approximately $60.00. Any
one with information of it's whereabouts can contact the Bordentown
Ctiy Police
Department at 298-0103 and leave information for any officer.
