PRESS RELEASE 02-26-09
On 02-25-09 at 21 :35 hrs Bordentown City Police were dispatched to
building 22 of the
Chestnut Village Apartments located at 200 East Chestnut Street, for
a report of a
suspicious male on location. Upon arrival officers found that 24 year
old Adam Morton
of Hinkle Drive Bordentown Township was burglarizing apartment #22a.
Officers took
Morton into custody. A search revealed that Mr. Morton had property
taken from the
apartment unit along with property from other residences on his
person. During the
investigation officers determined that Morton had also burglarized
apartment building 17
and attempted to burglarize apartment building 23 however left the
location when
contacted by a resident. Morton was lodged in the Burlington county
jail where lodged on
$50,000.00 full bail. Morton was charged with two counts of burglary,
one count of
attempted burglary, two counts of theft, possession of burglar tools,
and one count of
