*****RESIDENTS ALERT*****
September 16,2011

Police want to alert residents that there has been a rash of stolen bikes in the City this past week. Bikes have been taken that have been left unsecured in front of local businesses, private garages and residents front and rear porches. Take all means to secure your bikes, keeping them out of sight or locked with bicycle locks. The value of the bikes taken ($ J 00.00 to $1,000.00 each) indicate some of these bikes are being sold for cash, drugs or for quick transportation. City Police are giving out free bicycle locks and registering bikes for all City residents. Stop at police headquarters, register your bike and receive a free bicycle lock.
