During a routine check of Bordentown City parks and businesses police encountered Robert Morton, 56, a man known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the City of Bordentown. Mr. Morton was arrested on the warrant and a search of his property subsequent to his arrest yielded drug paraphernalia (improvised glass pipe with suspected crack/cocaine residue). Mr. Morton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in Burlington County Jail on the warrant.

While on patrol at the New Jersey Transit Riverline Station police observed a man striking the railing repeatedly and violently with a wooden cane. The man, David Babalya, 54, of Yardville, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Mr. Babalya was searched for weapons and contraband subsequent to his arrest and was found to be in possession of suspected crack/cocaine. Mr. Babalya was also found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Mr. Babalya was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief, and Obstructing the Administration of Law. Mr. Babalya was given a court date of July 2, 2008 and turned over to Bordentown Township Police Department on their warrant.

While on patrol police observed a man sitting in a car on Hopkinson Street and handling what appeared to be a green/brown vegetation. Foot patrol officer were advised of the situation and sent to investigate. The foot patrol officers approached the vehicle and arrested Rodney Ganges, 23, of Bordentown for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Kevin Ganges, the uncle of Rodney, approached and attempted to take a wad of cash from Rodney Ganges as Rodney was arrested. Kevin Ganges was arrested for obstructing the administration of law. Search of the vehicle yielded numerous packages of glassine baggies containing suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and a bag of suspected crack/cocaine. Rodney Ganges was charged with Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Distribution of CDS within 1,000 Feet of a School Zone, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of CDS (marijuana under 50 grams), Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rodney Ganges was unable to post his bail of $35,000.00 and was lodged in Burlington County Jail by default. Kevin Ganges was charged, given a court date, and released.
