Police were called to a residence on East Burlington Street for a past tense domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The boyfriend, Arnold Newkirk, 39, was gone upon police arrival. Police spoke with the caller who pointed out damages caused by Mr. Newkirk (broken storm door and hole punched in interior wall). Mr. Newkirk returned to the residence at approximately 12:33 am on December 22 and forced the front door open, causing more damage. Mr. Newkirk fled from police who eventually caught him about a block away. Mr. Newkirk was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Newkirk was lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 full cash bail.
