Police responded to 136 Crosswicks Street for the report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Upon arrival police found the victim, Jordan Morgan, 22, on the living room floor. Mr. Morgan had a gunshot wound in his left hand and also in his left leg. Mr. Morgan stated that he had purchased the gun, a .45 caliber semi-automatic Ruger, when he lived in Delaware before moving to Bordentown City. Allegedly, the gun fell out of Mr. Morgan's jacket pocket and when he attempted to return the weapon to the pocket, he accidentally fired a round through his left hand and into his left leg. The round fractured Mr. Morgan's left femur and lodged in his left leg. The bullet was recovered from Mr. Morgan's leg at Helen Fuld Trauma Center in Trenton and was turned over to police to be used as evidence. Mr. Morgan is listed in stable condition and is recovering from the gunshot wound. According to Mr. Morgan, all other residents of 136 Second Street were asleep at the time of the shooting. This matter is still under investigation, and Mr. Morgan may face criminal charges.

Police responded to Boyd's Pharmacy in reference to a shoplifting that had occurred on November 23. Boyd's surveillance cameras caught the theft on film. The suspect returned to Boyd's on November 24 and was arrested shortly after leaving the store. Police were given a clothing description and located the subject at the New Jersey Transit Riverline station. The suspect, David Reeder, 42, of Roebling, was charged with shoplifting and was given a court date in December.

Police responded to the 100 block of Farnsworth Avenue for the report of an assault. Upon arrival police found an individual bleeding from his mouth. The victim stated that his roommate had asked him to come along with him as he walked his dog. The victim stated that once they were outside their apartment building, his roommate began yelling at him unintelligibly and struck him in the face. The roommate, Sean P. Mullen, 39, was arrested for simple assault. Mr. Mullen was lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 cash bail.

Police observed a vehicle traveling south on Route 130. The vehicle had numerous objects hanging from the rearview mirror which obstructed the driver's view of the road through the windshield. The vehicle was stopped in the parking lot of the Acme Market. Police detected the distinct odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle while speaking with the driver. Police K-9 Terri was on hand and after an exterior sniff of the vehicle, K-9 Terri indicated that CDS was present in the vehicle. Search of the vehicle yielded five rolled marijuana cigars and an open container of alcohol on the floor of the vehicle. The driver, Olivia Beers, 18, of Fieldsboro, was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructed windshield, and open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
